The 2016 edition of Cersaie, closed its doors in Bologna on September 30th, with a number of visitors, both Italian and foreign, higher than last year. For five days, architects, interior designers, enterpreneurs and curious visitors have had the opportunity to learn about the latest products in the sectors of bathroom furnitures and ceramic tile, both visiting the stands and taking part in meetings and discussions.

The latest trends from Cersaie 2016

The fair highlighted some interesting aspects showing how the field of bathroom furnitures is currently involved in an ongoing evolution. Even a traditional material such as ceramic tile can become synonymous with innovation, research and originality thanks to the elegant relationship between furnishings, furniture and walls. Added to this are innovative and eco-friendly solutions that comply with the environment, thanks to the use of natural finishes. To enhance the link between tradition and modernity, a simple item like the tile becomes the focus of a story to tell and a sensation by which to get carried away, thanks to surfaces enriched by digital or handmade decorations. Every detail is customized to amplify the aesthetic feature, exploiting the potential offered by mosaic and porcelain stoneware, and materials ranging from marble to wood, from natural stone to glass, from resin to paper and fine fabric.

Forms inspired by nature to restore body and mind

Among the central features in the evolution of the idea of the bathroom there is definitely a tendency to regard as an ideal place not only for body and personal care but also as a space where to grow small pleasure for both body and mind. Based on this principle, ONdesign has developed the “Origin Line” inspired by nature and its materials. Forms and textures of the different items of the bathroom furniture recall the characteristics of natural elements, like tree rings, a symbol for the passing of time, and leaf veins, synonymous with life energy. Thanks to the precious encounter between design and innovation, the lines are essential, fresh, geometric, ready to satisfy both sight and touch in order to deliver an experience centered on pleasure, wellness and relaxation. “Origin Line” brings nature indoors, interpreting colors, textures and materials and sounds that become in this way the key through which is possible to restore body and soul combining simplicity, everyday life and design.
